mothers day is special
we love them very much
they take us out for dinner
and love us all as such
they make us laugh
and fill us with fun
they look after us
there's none like a mum
bring them flowers
love them too
as they will always love you back
and will never hate you
they are always busy
but always there
sitting by the fire
in the rocking chair
but your the best one of all
and i will always love you
knowing the love is true
and mothers like you are few

A Mothers love - Decision Taken

My daughter asked me to make a card for her to send to her best friend as she had the unenviable task to have her Mother looked after in a Nursing home as she has to have 24-7 care and could not do the job herself. This had broken her heart but nothing on the Net came close to the words I wanted to have in the verse.
A Mother's Love's unending
And it goes the other way
The huge decision you've had to make
Has been truly hard today.
This had to be, for all concerned
I know it was extremely hard,
Take strength & courage in my words to you.
Please dont feel so bad.
I'm sure your choice was for the best
for your Mother needs this care,
You've been the Best Daughter/Son you could have been

I got on this website to write something other than the normal . best wishes, good luck, congratulations as they are already in the card. I have on occasions wrote poems and the ones I have wrote are normally for someone who has died, which is a bit sad but cannot find any other way to express my feelings at the time.
Although I did write one for my mother on mothers days, due that she has supported me through my mid life crises. So this is it
TO MUM
There's no one in the world like
You
In addition, no one loves me as you do.
I am older now but still a child and need you
Each and everyday.
Therefore, I need to further say
With you here, life's not so bad,
You make me happy when I am sad.
Without you I cannot
Cope,
You always help and give me
Hope
I take a bit of you each day
You always help me find my way.
Sometimes, I know I cannot see in front of me
and do not like reality.
I call you up and your words give me sight to carry
On and make things right.
I want to give you peace each day but sorry that it's not true,
I always seem to rely on you.
I know you worry, I should grow up, I know I should!
But then your cuddles would not feel as good.
For in your arms when I'm feeling sore.
Nothing makes me happy more
It's then I'm safe from inside wars
Just knowing I am special -I am a child of
Yours.
An Angel is what you are!
I'm glad you're here and not too Far.
I love you mum more than words can say
Together we travel all the way.

I never feel upset or nervous when you're next to me.
You have been showing me the right way in my life.
I love the way you give me advice or courage.
I am very lucky that I had a mother like you.
However how much I paid I would never ever get a mum like you.
I hope you will be next to me for ever.
