Birthday Poem - 65th Birthday

by Julie Baines
(Salford, Lancashire)

Hi Jon

My dad took early retirement a few years ago but has turned 65 this year. I started making cards a couple of years ago, only for family rather than to make money. I wrote this for him:

Now you’re an “official” old git,
And your hearing’s failing a bit,
You’re claiming your pension
But it’s worth a mention
You still have your razor sharp wit!

Happy 65th Birthday, Dad!

He loved it.

PS: I used to be in insurance also.
