Grandma and Me
by Margaret
(Petrolia ON)
Grandma Poem I found this little poem, about a child and Grandma, in a magazine while I was waiting in a waiting area at a local hospital---I think it is so meaningful and beautiful---I would love to share it with others---Thank you!
Grandma and Me
I like to walk with Grandma Her steps are slow like mine She never says-now hurry up She always takes her time.
I like to walk with Grandma Her eyes see things like mine do Wee pebbles bright, a funny cloud Half-hidden drops of dew.
Most people have to hurry They've no time to stop and see I'm so glad that God made Grandma Unrushed and young like Me!
Thank you so much for this opportunity.
Webmaster: It is oft quoted on the internet that this grandma poem is by Thena Smith but I doubt it because she doesn't claim it to be. I may be wrong but I think it is by that prolific writer, Author Unknown
grandmas are like wind chimes...they surprise you all the time! grandmas are like the navy... they protect you (from when you're a baby). grandmas are like smiles...they NEVER go outta style! grandmas are like jokes...sometimes funny, sometimes pretty lame, but after all the things shes done... c'mon, pick the JOKE to blame! (:
