Light a Candle

I wrote this to be included in memory candles that were sold to raise money for a hospice. It can be personalized for male or female.

Light a candle it helps to remind you
Of your time together on earth
And as the flame flickers, remember
Her (his) kindness, her (his) goodness
Her (his) worth
In the glow of the memory candle
You'll know that these memories can't die
As you see her (his) face in the glowing,
Say a prayer, shed a tear, then goodbye.
