Short Eulogy Examples

Short Eulogy Examples is the place for rhymes that can be incorporated into a eulogy which, by its very nature, will be very specific to the subject of the eulogy. Whenever making a speech it helps to break it up with some poetry

Below are a host of rhymes which can be used as part of a eulogy. Some concepts crop up often where ideas from one poem are incorporated into another. Examples are 'If love could have saved you, you'd still be here' or 'the chain is temporarily broken but it will be joined again'

I've written the following by borrowing some of these concepts

(Jimmy)(Dad)(Dad-in-law)(Grandad)..
..you leave us with memories
That no one can steal
And you leave us with heartache
That time alone can heal

If we could only build a stairway
From our heartache and pain
We'd climb it and bring you
Home to us again

You'll never be more than
A moment apart
For our thoughts will keep you
Alive in our hearts

Our family chain's been severed
The joined links briefly gone
But our bond will be whole again
As we're called, one by one

(Jimmy)(Dad)(Dad-in-law)(Grandad)..
...As you settle
In your new life above
Take time to look down
To see how much you're loved

**

They say memories are golden
well maybe that is true.
I never wanted memories,
I only wanted you

**

If tears could build a stairway
and heartache make a lane,
I'd walk the path to heaven
and bring you back again.

**

Our family chain is broken,
and nothing seems the same.
But as God calls us one by one,
the chain will link again.

**

It broke our hearts to lose you,
you did not go alone.
For part of us went with you,
the day God called you home.

Short Eulogy Examples

Miss me a little - but not too long
And not with your head bowed low
Remember the love that we once shared
Miss me - but let me go

Short Eulogy Examples

A million times I needed you,
a million times I cried.
If love alone could have saved you
you never would have died.

**

You are not forgotten loved one
Nor will you ever be,
As long as life and memory last
We will remember thee.

**

Now there's many things for you to do,
And lots of ways to grow,
So get busy, be happy, and live your life,
Miss me, but let me go.

Short Eulogy Examples

Now we're separated
And for a time apart
But you are not alone
You're forever in my heart

**

Death leaves a heartache
No one can heal;
Love leaves a memory
No one can steal

**

No farewell words were spoken,
No time to say goodbye,
You were gone before we knew it,
And only God knows why.

**

If love could have saved you,
you would have lived forever.

**

Gone yet not forgotten,
Although we are apart,
Your spirit lives within me,
Forever in my heart.

**

What would I give to clasp his hand,
His happy face to see,
To hear his voice, and see his smile
That meant so much to me.

Short Eulogy Examples

In life I loved you dearly,
In death I love you still.
In my heart you hold a place
no one could ever fill.

**

Since you’ll never be forgotten,
I pledge to you today
A hallowed place within my heart
Is where you’ll always stay.

Those we love remain with us
For love itself lives on,
And cherished memories never fade
Because a loved one's gone.

**

Those we love can never be
More than a thought apart,
For as long as there is memory,
They'll live on in the heart.

**

Those we love remain with us
For love itself lives on,
And cherished memories never fade
Because a loved one's gone.

**

There may be times you miss me,
I sort of hope you do,,
But smile when you think of me,,
For I'll be waiting for you.

**

In my heart your memory lingers,
Always tender, fond & true;
There’s not a day, dear (Joan),
I do not think of you.

**

You left us peaceful memories,
your love is still our guide,
And though we cannot see you,
you are always at our side.

**

We little knew that morning
that God was going to call your name,
In life we loved you dearly,
in death we do the same.

Your life was full of loving deeds,
Forever thoughtful of our special needs,
Today and tomorrow, my whole life through,
I will always love and cherish you

**

Those we love don't go away,
They walk beside us every day,
Unseen, unheard, but always near,
Still loved, still missed and very dear.

Short Eulogy Examples

Perhaps my time seemed all too brief,
Don’t lengthen it now with undue grief.,
Lift up your hearts and peace to thee,
God wanted me now; He set me free. ,

**

We hope you are looking from above
To see how much you were loved

**

We miss you now, our hearts are sore,
As time goes by we miss you more.
Your loving smile, your gentle face,
No one can fill your empty place.

**

I thought of you with love today
But that is nothing new
I thought about you yesterday
And days before that too

I think of you in silence
I often speak your name
Now all I have are memories
And your picture in a frame

Your memory is my keepsake
With which I’ll never part
While God has you in His keeping
I have you in my heart
