This is a poem that I wrote for my husband Paul which I read out to him on our wedding day.

To Paul

From the moment that I met you
I knew my world had changed completely,
for you brought true meaning to my life
and gave me your love so sweetly

I love your cheerful sparkling ways
and how your smile shines like the sun,
you’re so thoughtful, warm and loving
tender, caring and good fun

My heart is filled with happiness
with joy and love and pride
to know from this day forward
I belong right by your side

The vows I’ll say to you today
are meant with all my heart
I’ll be your wife, true friend and lover
until death takes us apart
