missing you poem
by chrystal skilton
(qld)
This missing you poem I wrote for my partner that was away for work
Missing you I lay upon our bed at night Without you by my side Missing you like crazy As I wipe my tears aside I try so hard to not be sad But baby your not here I’m laying lonely in our bed Just wishing you were near I love it when I’m in your arms To kiss your lips goodnight I really want you here with me To feel you hold me tight God i sound like such a sook But my heart does ache for you And even with our ups and downs I know our love is true Baby i do miss you And i hate to feel alone I will be hanging for that day That you are coming home They say the heart grows fonder And I really guess that's true But one thing that i know for sure Is I’m in love with you.
Webmaster: Here's a missing you poem by David Harkins from Cumbria. It's about a girl he knew, though not romantically, as he would have liked. She left the area and he poured out his unrequited feelings of love in this poem
You can shed tears that she is gone or you can smile because she has lived.
You can close your eyes and pray that she'll come back or you can open your eyes and see all she's left.
You heart can be empty because you can't see her or you can be full of the love you shared.
You can turn your back on tomorrow and live yesterday or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday.
You can remember her and only that she's gone or you can cherish her memory and let it live on.
You can cry and close your mind, be empty and turn your back or you can do what she'd want: smile, open your eyes, love and go on.
This poem and Chrystal's (if some of the present tense were changed to past) could be interpreted as Missing You...because of death. Indeed that's what happened in the case of David's poem. Someone came across his poem, thought to be an Author Unknown piece and used it in the order of service for her mother's funeral.
That person was none other than Her Majesty, The Queen
