I thought I was alone poem
by shandor collins
(cork city ireland )
I thought I was alone
But when I got home
I saw my friend on the telephone
So he said come here get rid of them fears
I?ll be there when you're in tears
I looked back at my memories
Remembered my worries
I knew at that time
My moment had shined
I?ll be in America with that rhyme
Now I can forget about all the bad times
So here I am in America
Bustin' up my rhymes trying hard
To get put on the new York times
I am trying really hard just to be heard
But I guarantee I will when I get that one word
I got that one word
It brought me far
Now I am in the music business
Playing my guitar
I would never have done this without you
Thanks my dream has come true
